LOL! I guess some things are just planetary! The Golden Arches and a barber pole. Good thing we haven't landed on Mars or Venus yet. Wouldn't it be weird if there were McD's and barber poles there? :::sigh::: There're some things I don't want to be universal....

I wonder what they call a quarter pounder with cheese in Japan? They use the metric system so a quarter of a pound would mean nothing to them.

I'm not positive, but I think the barber pole was originally developed in Italy.
