Wilted with Cold Weather

Wilted with Cold Weather
Originally uploaded by flaurella.

Today at noon it was 48 degrees and blustery with rain and a dreary cold that chilled me to the bone for the last few days. It's April 9th and I can't remember ever being this cold this time of year, let alone smelling wood smoke from the fireplaces in town on an Easter Sunday. By Saturday, it is supposed to be 88 degrees. Dammit.

I dislike the cold. I hate the heat.

There is about a 3 week weather window in fall and another in spring that is perfect. The rest of the year, I bitch about the weather.

You may have noticed that I am just posting pictures the last few days. I've also killed the colored fonts and reverted to the default Times Roman that I hate.

It's better than nothing. Learn to live with it.

woman, you need a hot bath and a martini. then you need a good trashy romance novel and a blankie and your puppy to sit on your feet. i am telling you--this will put you in a better mood. and on thursday, hot or not, i insist that you go get out in the sun for a few minutes.

don't you just love unsolicited advice?

Jackie, I always hold your advice in highest esteem. That said, I make sure I have those toonies daily, a hot spa bath at least thrice a week, and the puppy and blankie are de riguer. The sun has been a problem but I do like the rain and Lord knows, we need it so badly. I like sexy murder mysteries better than romance novels since they can be just as disgustingly solicitous and rate highly on the trash scale plus, you get to figger out whodunit!

Thanks for caring and please share advice any ole time. Just so you know, I had W4D sugar my feet in a vibrating spa bath on Maundy Thursday. I am big on pampering but battling a little depression lately and you are exactly right. I need sunshine on my nose and sand on my toes!

Dear Penpal Sanne,

You need to come and visit Florida! You can do that and decide if/for your Dad - should he really want my 1976 Corvette. Since DD is home before she heads off to Japan in June, there's no room in the inn but I can help you make arrangements nearby and make sure you have fun.

Something to think about....
